The brain is fragile.

As part of my ongoing Informal Education PhD degree from Non-Existent University, I'm currently listening to Smarter Faster Better: The Secrets of Being Productive in Life and Business by Charles Duhigg.

Duhigg cites several cases where a tiny amount of striatal damage was the sole commonality in people who suddenly and very intensely became apathetic and unemotional. (The book later uses that as a lesson for how motivation can be learned to some degree.)

It reminded me how fragile our brains are: each neuron is both hardware and software. If you had a tiny amount of lung damage, you would never even notice, and it would eventually heal.

Don't neglect your brain as you are literally nothing without it.
