Today, I changed my title to Radical Innovation Strategist For Ambiguous Problems (from Ideation Specialist For Ambiguous Problems) in my Ideation Specialist page. I made that change to niche into the ideation/innovation category I most excel at and to use more professional (but still accurate) language.
It would be easier to promote myself for another (equally valuable) category of innovation, but radical innovation is unfortunately the category of innovation I most excel at based on my skill set and my track record of published radical innovations starting from 2020 or before.
That change results in me having a very niched market because hardly anyone is seeking out radically innovative solutions to consider implementing, and the people who are seeking it out are very difficult to get in touch with.
I excel at that category of innovation because how much I might excel at solving a problem is greater if it is more ambiguous and complex. I also bring a fresh perspective that allows me to uncover solutions that those immersed might miss, and a fresh perspective is more useful in that category of innovation.
The ideas behind the original iPhone didn't come from cellphone experts. In Project Purple (the team behind the iPhone), there were no cellphone experts at the bequest of Steve Jobs. Do you think the original iPhone would have been made if it was designed by cellphone experts?
