It’s ok to be bad at ideation.

A great business executive doesn't have to be an accountant; as long as someone is acting as the accountant.
A great business executive doesn't have to be a visionary; as long as someone is acting as the visionary.

Steve Jobs (the visionary of Apple in its beginning) happened to have much more business acumen than Steve Wozniak (the executor of Apple in its beginning).

But, if Wozniak had that business acumen instead of Jobs, then Apple could have been just as successful with Wozniak as the head executive as long as he had the self-awareness to recognize that he needs Jobs for the ideas he can provide.

Economics doesn't care about your ego or your feelings.

Self-awareness of one's own weaknesses are critical. I have many weaknesses, and I delegate my weak points to others when I have the opportunity to do so.

If you deny accountants because you can't handle the truth that you're bad at doing your business's taxes, you will unknowingly suffer.
If you deny an ideation specialist because you can't handle the truth that you're bad at doing your business's ideation, you will unknowingly suffer.

There are many people capable of being a visionary.

You might know such a person. If you have the need for a visionary and the self-awareness to recognize that weak point, I'd suggest ripping off the band-aid and messaging that person today.
