Learning About The EOS Visionary

A man in a black shirt and green tie looks up at the glowing EOS logo with a light bulb design, alongside SS5.org text, against a dark background.
"The Visionary [who focuses on ideation for ambiguous problems] and the Integrator [who focuses on execution] couldn’t be more different in terms of how they think and problem-solve. However, when their individual Unique Ability is correctly matched together and they are working toward the same business goals, the results can be exciting."

Recently finished Traction by @Gino Wickman. EOS is a business operating system that drives fast, high-quality growth and nurtures the right ideas.

While many modern millionaires dismiss ideation as fluff, EOS (arguably the world's most reputable business OS) recognizes its value and how talent in ideation rarely pairs with excellence in execution and visa versa.

When I made SamSauer.org/Idea, I didn't know of any accurate title/term for someone with that skill set of mine so I used the term "ideation specialist for ambiguous problems". In EOS, that role is defined as a Visionary.

I'm currently into Rocket Fuel by Gino Wickman and @Mark C. Winters. It is quite eerie how various passages discussing an EOS Visionary could be paraphrased version of my skill set as discussed on my Ideation Specialist and related pages.

EOS Worldwide (ran by EOS Visionary and CEO Mark O'Donnell) is the main organization for EOS. They offer some robust resources for post-startup companies adopting EOS, but I do have some critiques. (BTW, I happen to be connected with all three of those people on LinkedIn.)

Critique #1: EOS Worldwide only targets post-startup companies, yet a business OS should ideally be embedded from day one, like choosing the right computer OS at purchase.

Critique #2: EOS assumes the Visionary sits at the top, ignoring Visionaries who operate as a subordinate. As offerings multiply, a product/service line may merit its own Visionary. EOS Worldwide should formalize a sub-Visionary track, Visionaries reporting to a lead Visionary.

If your EOS-powered company needs that role, let’s talk; I’m ready to prove myself.
